Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about Dateify references, verification, human review, missing search results, privacy, and your right to respond or dispute content.
Is Dateify a dating app?
No. Dateify doesn't match you with people. It is a relationship-transparency platform with tools for learning from past relationship experiences, understanding preferences, and creating greater clarity in committed relationships.
Who can see the references I write?
References are only visible to other verified members of Dateify. They are not indexed by search engines like Google (we enforce strict no-index policies on all profiles) and cannot be viewed by anonymous visitors.
What if someone writes something untrue about me?
You have the right to claim any profile created about you (after verifying your identity). Once claimed, you can write your own perspective which will be displayed side-by-side with the reference. You also have the right to dispute references that violate our Community Guidelines.
Do you use scores or star ratings for people?
Absolutely not. We do not believe human beings can be reduced to a score. Dateify uses structured feedback focused on specific behaviors (like communication and accountability) to highlight green flags and areas for growth.
How do you stop people from making fake accounts?
Members who write a reference or claim a profile are required to complete identity verification, which ties contributions to an accountable person. Every reference is also checked by a human moderator before it publishes, and members can report concerns. No system can rule out every fake account, but these checks are designed to make anonymous or fabricated contributions much harder. Your underlying private verification documents are never published.
Are references posted immediately?
No. Every reference goes through human moderation before publication. A trained moderator checks the content against our Community Guidelines to ensure it is constructive and free of harassment, doxxing, or revenge material.
What if the person I search has no references yet?
You'll see that clearly. Many people will not have references available to view. No references does not mean a person is safe or unsafe; it means there is no reference available to you through the current search and access checks.
Can I use Dateify if I'm under 18?
No. Dateify is strictly for adults 18 and over.
How can I get an invite to the early access?
We are currently scaling slowly to ensure the safety and integrity of the platform. Invitations are distributed through our early community members.
